Happy New Year's Eve!

This is the snowy scene outside my window today. It was so lovely to see giant, white flakes falling this morning. It does look a bit treacherous out there, but fortunately, I am staying in this year.

Even Savannah got in on the act, trying to catch the flakes as they fell. Sorry birdies, no seed here, just SNOW!

Is there anything more beautiful than birch trees in the winter? I love how the peeling birch bark catches the snow.

Now for the libations, we have the most marvelous bottle of wine to ring in the new year. It is Marco Negri, Moscato D'Asti.  If you haven't tried this, you should do so immediately if you like sweet, sparkling wines. I love this every bit as much as Veuve Clicquot. It is refreshing and delicious!
