Long Luxurious Blond Locks Or My Fabio Phase

So apparently, I had a thing for Long Luxurious Blond Locks when I was a child and didn't even know it. This all came up when I posted of picture of my grandparents from Christmases Past on my blog. And my cousin said he always liked that picture, but his favorite picture was of me wearing the blond wig at Christmas. At which point I said, "You are crazy." I never wore a blond wig at Christmas. As if! And I proceeded to challenge him to produce the evidence. First, he sent me this picture.

I am like dude, the girl in the green sweater is my sister and that isn't a wig, it's her blond hair. I was feeling pretty smug and satisfied with myself. I might even say full of myself, briming over with smug "I told you so" satisfaction. To which he replied, "The other pic must not have come through, here it is again."

And Bam, there I am front and center in a blond wig.

I would say it was a cross between Dolly Parton and Farrah Fawcett, but whatever it is, I am rockin' it with pride. And apparently, I was in my safari/khaki phase. Notice the unicolor animal reservation/zoo keeper attire.

What all this brings to mind is a few lines from the musical Hair:

"Gimme a head with hair, long beautiful hair
Shining, gleaming, steaming, flaxen, waxen
Give me down to there, hair!
Shoulder length, longer (hair!)

CHORUS:
Hair! (hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair)
Flow it, Show it;
Long as God can grow it, My Hair!"

I was going to suggest that the outfit looked more like a Brownie outfit. I was a Brownie for two weeks. Never got the uniform. . .
